PLANT WNY leadership is composed of combined elected and volunteer personnel. Board Members are the elected officers of this organization and are nominated by a committee and elected at its General Meeting. Board Members are elected for a one a year term as stated in the bylaws. Any member in good standing can be nominated and elected.

President - Ryan McMillan
Ryan is owner of McMillan's Landscaping located in Angola, NY.Vice President - Roger Restorff, Lifetime CNLP
Roger graduated from SUNY @ Alfred with an AAS in Ornamental Horticulture Landscape Development in 1984. He returned to Alfred in 1985 to complete the Nursery Management option and several business classes. Roger worked for several companies after graduation, learning the practical side of landscape construction. In August of 1986, he started Restorff’s Landscape Service part time. The business quickly grew and Roger went full time in 1987. Roger is a certified nursery and landscape professional (CNLP) and an authorized Unilock contractor. Roger resides in Orchard Park with his wife and four children. Roger has served over 21 years as a volunteer firefighter and currently active member of the Ellwood Fire Company in the Town of Tonawanda. He enjoys the Sabres, Bills and camping.Treasurer - Crystal O'Hara
Crystal has grown up always around the horticulture industry but in the last 15 years she has made it her career. She started at her father’s business Trees View Landscaping. After her father passed, she went and worked for Chevalier Outdoor Living for a few years. She now works for Murray Brothers Nursery and Garden Center. She is one of their landscape foreman.She has also received her horticulture degree from Niagara County Community College. She currently lives in West Seneca with her husband and daughter.Secretary - Nick Fleckenstein
Nick is the owner of Niagara Lawn and Garden Care in Ransomville, NY. He graduated from Fingerlakes Community College in 2018 with an AAS in Horticulture, and later went on to graduate with a BT in Landscape Contracting from SUNY Cobleskill in 2020. While working towards his degrees, Nick also obtained his Advanced Snow Manager (ASM) and Certified Snow Professional (CSP) certificates. Nick worked for several landscaping firms including Lakeview Lawn and Landscape, Skyview Landscaping, and Elber's Landscape Service while simultaneously owning and operating his own growing business. Niagara Lawn and Garden Care was established in 2015, and now includes a nursery and landscape supply store. When Nick is not landscaping, he enjoys hiking with his wife and dogs, camping, and farming.Director - Lou Sardo
Lou is a Financial Professional with Equitable Advisors. When it comes to financial and retirement planning, he specializes in working with small businesses. Lou is licensed to help with financial and retirement planning, employee group benefits, disability and life insurance solutions, buy/sell agreements and business continuation planning just to name a few.
Lou understands the green industry firsthand as he joined PLANT WNY in 2016 as a landscape business owner. He was proud to showcase his garden scape at Plantasia and has continued to participate and be a resource for his former colleagues. Lou said his key to success has been to smile, and to treat everyone with respect and dignity.
