PLANT WNY Tour, Meeting & Elections

Batavia Turf is the sponsor of our day!

4:30pm Tour (Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior)

We will be carpooling and will be looking for drivers to assist.  Please wear appropriate footwear for walking in farm land.

These are potential things we can see!

• Sod harvesting: see our state-of-the-art harvester in action.
• Onion grading/bagging: may or may not be happening that day
• Tour of the muckland: talk about the history of the muck soil, possible harvesting of onions
• Harvesting soybeans, field corn: dependent on Mother nature if it is ready
• Farm equipment:  check out some of the farm equipment
• Batavia soccer park: host large tournaments, home to 600 Batavia Soccer Club players from Genesee County
• Heifer farm: a drive through

6:00pm  – pizza, wings, etc

6:30pm –  Membership Meeting –  Elections of 2023 officers and Foundation trustees; budget vote; Plantasia updates and much more!  50/50 to benefit the Foundation
