OUR HISTORY
PLANT WNY is a trade association, a not-for-profit corporation, of green industry professionals (including teachers, nurseries, garden centers, growers, landscapers, tree care firms, lawn care firms, and suppliers.) The Western New York State Nursery and Landscape Association, Inc. (DBA PLANT WNY) was founded in the early 1940's.In July 2019, our Historian Committee presented the membership with a photo board of those who have been instrumental in our success - they paved the way. The committee stated "It is important for our association to know where we came from, where we are and where we are going!" Our records indicate our first president was in 1943! Our members involvement and belief in the value/benefit of a trade association keep PLANT WNY strong and growing. We thank those of gave of their time, efforts and foresight to believe in a trade association for the green industry!Interested in a Membership?

I joined PLANT WNY for the business networking. Having a small landscape firm years ago, I needed to know my suppliers and subcontractors and my involvement in this association gave me that opportunity. PLANT WNY directly helped me get the job I now have with Buffalo State College. A member approached me and asked if I'd be interested in interviewing for an opening. I've been at Buffalo State College for 10 years.S. Sypniewski, Lifetime CNLP, Buffalo State College
I joined PLANT WNY in desire of being part of a friendly, professional community with like-minded goals. I wanted to stay in the loop of things and have access to educational opportunities. I have met so many wonderful people in the industry, that I now consider to be lifelong friends.J. Mariea, CNLP, Garden Escapes
PLANT WNY is a very well run and healthy professional organization. My involvement has yielded friends, business, leadership skills, recognition and many rich experiences.N. Stern, Gernatt Asphalt Products, Inc.
